Tōko Koga has joined Spurs from Feyenoord. Subject to international clearance and work permit, she will sign a deal that will run until June 2029
The 19-year-old Japan international centre-back has been given the number 32 shirt. She made 35 appearances for the Dutch giants, making her debut at just 18, before heading to the WSL.
On the international stage, Koga has been call uped to a number of Japanese youth teams, featuring from Under-17 to Under-23 level. She made her senior international in the SheBelieves Cup in April last year, coming off the subs bench against the USA.
She also went to 2024 Paris Olympics, starting all four games for Japan in the tournament. She featured once again the SheBelieves Cup this year, netting against the USWNT as her nation won the trophy for the first time. Clearly an exciting young talent, she has picked up a total of 19 caps and three goals for her country.
At the time of writing, Spurs Women have still not confirmed who will be managing the side next sesaon. However, it was reported on Tuesday that Martin Ho is set to be appointed as the new head coach.
