Martin Ho has been appointed as the new head coach of Spurs Women. The club confirmed the news on Friday morning. Megan Feringa and Jacob Tanswell at The Athletic previously reported that Ho was set to leave SK Brann to replace Robert Vilahamn and Hotspur Way.
Liverpool-born Ho has been at Brann since 2023. However, he is familiar with the WSL, having previously served as an assistant coach at Everton and Man Utd. At another point, he was head coach of Liverpool’s Under-21 women’s team. He leaves with Branm second in the Norwegian league and has previously led them to the Champions League semi-final.
At just 35 year-old, Ho seems to be an exciting young coach. He may inject some new energy into the side. However, some more experience might not have gone amiss with a team struggling to make progress heading into an its seventh WSL season.
The club are set to announce further coaching appointments in due course.
