In a somewhat surprising move, Tottenham Hotspur Women's goalkeeper has joined Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season. This is allowed under the WSL's emergency loan rules. Blues 'keeper Femke Liefting has a long-term injury, while teammate Zecira Musovic is pregnant. It seems unlikely though that Spencer will get in ahead of Lionesses shot stopper Hannah Hampton.
Spencer has not had much game time since the arrival of Lize Kop in January. Spurs manager Robert Vilahamn has always been generous about Spencer though. Indeed, he was asked about her during a press conference ahead of his team's clash with Man City tomorrow. He said he was "very happy that she got to play and perform" for Jamaica during the international break.
